Since fledging from under Citroen’s wings, DS – as a stand-alone brand – has gone from strength to strength. I drove the new DS5 at its launch during the summer and it really is a much-improved car.
Created in Paris, DS Automobiles was officially founded on 1 June last year. Its stated ambition is to ‘revive the tradition of premium vehicles in the French automotive industry, DS perpetuates the values of innovation and distinction inherited from the first DS, launched in 1955’.
DS has its own dedicated showrooms in China, but here in the UK – largely due to cost constrains and being early days for the brand – DS cars are still available through dedicated showrooms in the Citroën retail network.
DS Automobiles UK today announced the availability and opening of order books for the new DS 4 and, with its higher driving position and rugged appearance, the DS 4 Crossback – one model, two distinct body styles and a new front end.
