Alfa Romeo’s Giulia and Stelvio Quadrifoglio Verde high-performance models have received a range of interior and exterior updates for 2020. At the rear, both cars get new, darkened LED tail-light clusters and glossy black badges. Large 21-inch alloy wheels will be optional on the Alfa Romeo Stelvio QV for the first time and three new paint colours are available as a throwback to some of the Italian brand’s classic models such as ‘Montreal Green’, ‘6C Villa d’Este Red’ and a yellow called ‘GT Junior Ocra’.

The Stelvio and Giulia QVs get a selection of new and exclusive Mopar extras including carbon-fibre mirror caps plus an updated rear spoiler and a V-shaped grille in the same material. An Akrapovič titanium exhaust with carbon-fibre tailpipes can also be specified.

Inside, there’s an all-new 8.8-inch touchscreen infotainment system which, while the same size as before, features a new design and additional connected features. The performance QV models get dedicated menus showing data including component temperatures, turbo pressure and acceleration speed.

The centre console has been tweaked to look more attractive and to provide extra storage space and there is a new leather-trimmed steering wheel and gear lever. Seat choices have expanded too, as you can opt for new perforated upholstery or carbon-fibre Sparco bucket seats and – for the first time – seatbelts can be chosen in green or red, rather than just black.

On the technology front, both cars benefit from a more comprehensive driver assistance package. With lane-keeping assist, adaptive cruise control, blind-spot monitoring and intelligent speed control, the cars offer ‘Level 2’ self-driving ability.

Prices and specifications of the Giulia and Stelvio QVs are yet to be announced, but don’t be surprised to find they cost a little more than the current £65,555 and £71,880 respectively.
